The Globex Combine

No family controls Globex, for Globex is family, from every indentured worker to every overseer the House is interconnected - it is old very old, the Globex Combine predates the arrival of Imperial forces to the Prosperitas Sector, but has always remained agnostic of the rulers of the Sector. Its senior management’s ability to see the way the wind was blowing for the Regency was one of the vital parts in Warmaster Ulian opening Subsector Secundus to the Prosperitas Crusade, their betrayals of Regency forces paving the path for the Crusade to take worlds like Caudica Secundus from the Archenemy.

An alliance of Guilds it was awarded its legitimacy and Noble Charter by thanks of the Warmaster but there is no true bloodline that has ever controlled it, at least not as the Imperium understands it, but the interconnected bloodlines of the Guildmasters of the Combine became Nobles by writ of Terra.

House Globex

Globex contributes to almost every area of Imperial industry, they are a House that makes everything and are one of the few in the entire Imperium that has been given dominion over industrial production of a range of technological items licenced by the Adeptus Mechanicus. House Globex provides a huge amount of products across the Prosperitas Sector, and is highly respected by many Imperial Citizens who consider it a fair and reasonable employer, even those who labour in Globex Indentured Labour Colonies are all smiles about the House.

Nobody entirely knows exactly just what House Globex has a Charter to produce. Certainly, quite a lot of common Household appliances and Globex-brand Luxury Rations can be found around the sector. Many believe the House has other exclusive rights that it keeps hidden from prying eyes as it employs considerably more workers across its numerous manufactorums than it would ever need for items that are easily produced by automated production lines. The House's representatives or ‘Reps’ (as it prefers to call them) tend not to answer such questions directly; the House thrives on the air of secrecy around what products it produces, and, so, most queries are met with quiet unending smiles.

Globex is powerful, thanks to its wealth and its canny offering of favourable loans to Houses in the Prosperitas Sector - including those of House Durovera, it owns many of the debts of its peers. It has leant on these debts in the past, such as in 433.M41 when they wrote off some of House Durovera’s debts to take control of Asteroid 24334-1. Known to its inhabitants as Cyprus Creek, the isolated satellite colony is renowned for its high quality workers' accommodation, low pollution levels and relative safety due to the presence of defence platforms and the House Fleet.

Unlike many Houses, the studiously agnostic House has kept its nose out of conflict, focusing on preaching its code of good conduct as a business, and keeping to its ancient motto;

Look around you, Globex.
Look inside you, Globex
Globex
We make Everything.
