If we are holding a DuD Event or have approved a DuD Player Event then we believe the situation is currently sufficiently low-threat enough that it is not irresponsible for us to hold a LRP event. '''However''' this does not mean that such an event is risk-free for participants - there are multiple risks to yourself, both from exposure while travelling to the event, and the risk of being exposed to an asymptomatic participant still exists even if they have done their best to test. This is a '''personal risk''' you are taking as an attendant and it is up to you to make that decision.
''All Medical Data should be shown on the day, rather than sent, to the Game Team, we do not wish to keep records of anyone's medical data''

Should any individual wish to attend a DuD event during the time in which these rules are in place, then they may only do so under the following conditions;
However we would recommend the following of all attendees;

* We recommend that if you have not yet, make sure you are double vaccinated, you are gambling with your life if you are not.

* '''Provision of evidence that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and the presentation of a negative test for Covid-19 performed on the day of the event.'''
* We recommend you wear a mask and maintain a safe distance from people where you can.

'''OR'''
* We recommend you do not share drinks and drinking vessels.

* '''Upon presentation of a negative test for Covid-19 performed on the day of the event.'''
* We request that all smokers and vapers refrain from doing it anywhere near buildings or other participants, please yeet yourself to somewhere far away from others.

=== Arriving at the Event ===

''The game team strongly encourages DuD participants to consider the risks to themselves and those around them before attending if they are not fully vaccinated.''
While Covid-19 remains a clear and present threat '''all participants''' must present a negative test for Covid-19 regardless of their vaccination status, this must be taken within 24 hours of time in (8pm on Friday) otherwise we will ask you to take another test.

For the majority of UK players however a Lateral Flow Test, is sufficient. Lateral Flow Tests can be ordered for free [https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests here] and can be registered [https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result here] - upon registering your test result you will receive an email and a text (depending on contact details provided) either one of these can be shown to the game team as evidence - you can simply show this on a phone screen or as a printout on the day - do not email them.
If you test positive please do not attend, we will do our best to refund you or find a place for you in another event where that is not possible - this applies to crew and refs too.

The current government guideline is that you should be testing twice weekly - we do recommend this but do not require it.
If you get an exposure notification from the NHS App prior to the event we request you follow Government guidelines and get a PCR test.

International attendees as well as UK players who have to report under a different system (such as NHS staff) can provide alternate evidence as appropriate to their own testing procedures - we simply want to ensure we have put in place measures to minimise the risk to all attendees and limit the spread of the virus so will remain flexible on how we ensure we have observed this and meet individual circumstances.
===  Playing the Event ===

=== Failure to Observe the Above ===
We are not making masks mandatory for participants, but we are asking you to respect your fellow players space so keep to a safe distance unless invited closer where possible.

Deliberate failure to observe either of the above requests, falsifying test results, and attending a DuD event without doing so truthfully and honestly thus placing both yourself, others and people who share households with yourself and others at higher risk will result in an '''immediate ban from DuD and all future events.'''
If you are uncomfortable and would prefer not to stay at a distance then you may swap your build to be more ranged-focused so you can minimise your need to be in close proximity. Engaging in combat comes with increased risks, these are risks you are taking on by attending a LARP event in a pandemic.

Where a skill says you have to be in close contact to use it, feel free to fudge a reason to be at a distance if yourself or your intended target is uncomfortable with you being close.
=== Social Distancing and Masks ===

Where social distancing is possible please follow the latest guidelines. Where a player is able to use a mask, it is recommended - but no judgement or commentary shall be provided to those who cannot wear them.

=== Refunds for testing Positive ===

If we are unable to provide a refund, tickets for those who test positive or isolate because of sharing a home with someone who tests positive will be able to be rolled forward to a future event. Crew credits towards priority booking will also be considered to be refunded.

Because of the Covid-19 Pandemic’s risk for all LARPers we will be attempting to reduce our per-event ticket fees in order to minimise the financial impact to players should they test positive.

=== In-Game Rules During Covid-19 ===
''In order to allow the game to continue with minimised risk the following rules amendments are now in effect.''

'''Contact''' traits and abilities that currently require a character to be within two meters of another character should now be performed at any reasonable distance in order to prevent unnecessary contact where it can be trivially avoided. If both participants feel comfortable being within range of others then they may do so by both informing each other of their consent to do so. Some examples of how to roleplay this.

* Medics can now chuck a bandage to someone bleeding on the floor and talk them through patching themselves up.

* '''I am a knife in the Dark''' can be performed with a pistol from a distance behind the individual.

* The '''Data-Spike''' ability on the servo-rig can be 'fired' at someone from a close range rather than in melee.

'''Melee is by Consent Only''' with the standard indicator of consent to be considered to be '''drawing a melee weapon or carrying it in your hand''' as with the above, this means that participants can minimise their own risks of close contact with people ''if they wish to''.

It is '''strongly recommended''' if engaging in melee that you wear a mask to reduce the risks.

''Any player who does not feel safe engaging in melee during the C-19 crisis is entitled to rejig their traits temporarily with no questions asked - and then return them in the aftermath.''

'''Any roleplaying of coughing, retching or heavy breathing is prohibited''' this is, again, to prevent unnecessary spread where possible - if you possess any effect deck cards that require you to do this, please remove them for the duration of these rules  being in place.

Risk to Participants

If we are holding a DuD Event or have approved a DuD Player Event then we believe the situation is currently sufficiently low-threat enough that it is not irresponsible for us to hold a LRP event. • We recommend you wear a mask and maintain a safe distance from people where you can.
  • We recommend you do not share drinks and drinking vessels.
  • We request that all smokers and vapers refrain from doing it anywhere near buildings or other participants, please yeet yourself to somewhere far away from others.
