Revision as of 14:41, 4 June 2021

Until such a time that the Covid-19 threat diminishes to such a level where it is not prevalent in the population.

Vaccination

It shall be a requirement for any participant who wishes to attend any DuD events (including sanctioned events) upon the resumption of live play to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in order to minimise their personal risk of exposure.

We are aware not everyone can have the vaccine, but, it is our opinion that the risk to life for them is too high to attend our games in the current environment.

We will ask players to present proof of vaccination to the game team upon arriving to the site - this can be done non-intrusively by presenting your proof of vaccination (for UK players you can find how to retrieve this here, or whatever alternative proof is available for international attendees).

Please do not email this to us, we do not wish to retain your medical data.

Testing

It shall be a requirement for any participant who wishes to attend any DuD events (including sanctioned events) upon the resumption of live play to provide a negative Lateral Flow test performed on the day of the game; Lateral Flow Tests can be ordered for free here and can be registered here - upon registering your test result you will receive an email and a text (depending on contact details provided) either one of these can be shown to the game team as evidence - you can simply show this on a phone screen or as a printout on the day - do not email them.

The current government guideline is that you should be testing twice weekly - we do recommend this but do not require it.

International attendees will be expected to provide whatever evidence is appropriate to their country.

Failure to Observe the Above

Deliberate failure to observe either of the above rules, and attending a DuD event without doing so truthfully and honestly will result in an immediate ban from DuD and all future events.

Social Distancing and Masks

Where social distancing is possible please follow the latest guidelines. Where a player is able to use a mask, it is recommended - but no judgement or commentary shall be provided to those who cannot wear them.

Refunds for testing Positive

If we are unable to provide a refund, tickets for those who test positive or isolate because of sharing a home with someone who tests positive will be able to be rolled forward to a future event. Crew credits towards priority booking will also be considered to be refunded.

Because of the Covid-19 Pandemic’s risk for all LARPers we will be attempting to reduce our per-event ticket fees in order to minimise the financial impact to players should they test positive.

Suspension of Rules During Covid-19

Until further notice during the C-19 pandemic any rule that requires a character to touch another character or be within a set distance of them is suspended, we will do our best to provide an in-game stand-in for how this will work.

Until further notice Melee combat will be optional - this means that if an individual has not got a melee weapon drawn (even if they are wearing them on their person) you may not engage them in melee. Abilities that require melee contact will be covered by the rules above and determine how they work at any given event.

Engaging in consenting melee combat means that players have a personal choice at the risk of allowing someone within one meter of them - it is strongly recommended if engaging in melee that you wear a mask to reduce the risks.

Any player who does not feel safe engaging in melee during the C-19 crisis is entitled to rejig their traits temporarily with no questions asked - and then return them in the aftermath.
