Crusade Objectives

The current focus of the Crusade is upon the protection of Warmaster-Emiratus Ulian, Saint-Presumptive Callum Gearwright, Lifeward Companion Baris who have been dispatched to the fighting at Helaerus III - it is the concern of the Inquisition that the Crusade is not best equipped to protect either from subtler blades that the Archenemy can call upon given historic infiltration of the Crusade by the Archenemy and the prevalence of the Serpent Cult amongst the ranks of the Regency in Subsector Secundus. Agents sent to the front at Heaerus III face serious risk of injury in fraught battlefield conditions and should ideally be trained in close protection for the purpose of protecting these individuals.

Inquisitorial Auguries

Pursue the Prometheae

During events on Amenophis last year, Agents encountered the caretaker of a Inquisitorial Blacksite later revealed to have been infiltrated and taken over by the Prometheae. This individual, using the local cognomen of ‘Temenet-Ipu’ is understood to have offered the opportunity of a rendezvous with several Inquisitorial personnel. It is the will of the Conclave that those approached present themselves to the Conclave for the interest of meeting with this individual in order to get a greater understanding of the Prometheae position.

At this stage, it is believed we have more to gain by a dialogue with this individual then engaging them with force and attempting to bring them to justice - as such those unable to repress their violent urges in the presence of these heretical radicals are requested to aid other objectives of the Conclave.

Obtain Evidence on Ferraeus

There has been an increased level of concerning activity from Ferraeus culminating in the presence of Ferraen Tech Priests (with apparent support from Naximus Prime) being encountered on Corbenic IV. The problem facing the Conclave is that the leadership of Ferraeus is notoriously dominated by Myrioi-513 who operates much of the highest levels of command of Ferraeus via various distributed armatures. However, there are several senior Magi on Ferraeus who are known not to be armatures of the Forge Lord. To this end, the Conclave is working on identifying possible suspicious operations undertaken by Forge Ferraeus, as well as potential sources of information.

Agents with a strong relationship with the mechanicus are requested to aid in infiltration of cogitator systems as well as identifying potential members of the Ferraen Priesthood who can be isolated and extracted for interrogation. Once identification is made, then extraction will be handed off to an Inquisitorial task force at a future date.

There is some conflict internally within the Conclave with regards to the Drukhari-created entity, but it is agreed that failing to locate it is a dereliction of the core duties of the Inquisition - not to mention that a believed Prometheae agent was present on Corbenic IV, and is awarene of its existence. Therefore, we can be certain that they will be attempting to control it in some manner. To this end, Agents have been authorised to capture this entity, or, failing to capture it, denying it by all means to the Promethea. While it is acknowledged this being is of the most holy blood, its capacity to disrupt the order of the Imperium cannot be underestimated - and, as such, it may become necessary to eliminate it. Though of sacred blood, we must be reminded this is neither a clone nor a reincarnation of the God-Emperor, but, rather, a scion of HIs divine bloodline, and thus it cannot be assumed to automatically be an ally of the Imperium.

This order is on a restricted band -- if you have received this order, you are trusted to maintain the discretion necessary to undertake such a challenging task should it come to it. It is still the infinite preference of the Conclave that this Scion of Him is taken into custody where it cannot disrupt the order of the Imperium.

Pursue the entity that has called itself “Weller”

A hitherto unknown entity was able to compromise communications between the Conclave and Agents to issue orders that involved [activities redacted by the Ordo Chronos] for the purpose of assassinating a being we believe to be “M” in the distant past [error detected. Impossible statement cit.ref. Ordo Chronos]. It is believed that this individual has been responsible for the manipulation of multiple historic events and potentially set up the replacement of Sector Governor Amelius Durovera with a Daemon.The full capabilities of this individual or their nature are not fully known, but they are believed to be in possession of immense Sorcerous power and may be inherently linked with the Changer of Ways.

Agents are ordered to travel to Adeptus Astra Telepathica facilities to conduct thorough reviews of their security, the state of those behind held, and any potential threat to the tithe sent to Terra in order to further investigate this entity. It has been noted that House Globex have recently been discovered to have been compromised by the Archenemy to some degree, and were at one stage believed to be ‘tainting’ the supply of psykers to Terra so some suspicion remains as to this threat to this most important tithe.

Guide the Religious Transition of Merewald

Any Agents compromised in the execution of this Operation will be denied by the Conclave and receive no protection if captured.

It is believed to be strategically essential for the development of Merewald that it is successfully transitioned away from the Ludlamite sect that has exercised dominance of the planetary Ecclesiarchy until recently. The recent loss of faith in Ludlamite elements has enabled the deployment of machine equipment to better till the soil of Merewald. But current predictions suggest that full removal of the Ludlamites from positions of influence will take a lifetime - strategically the conversion needs to happen faster.

To this end the Conclave has sanctioned a deniable campaign of undermining and assassinating Ludlamite figures on the surface of Merewald in order to fast transition it. [Redacted] Assets have been requested from Terra for this purpose, but Conclave Agents are expected to lay the groundwork before the arrival of Assets from the Throneworld.
