The Shadow War
Issued by The Conclave Petitioned for by Acolyte Angela Marinus
Following the incident on Butonia, it is clear that the Promethae are intent on becoming a more constant and active presence in sector. While at times we may have similar direction, it is not the opinion of the Conclave that the Promethae are to become fully trusted allies. Agents are required to investigate and protect the senority of our position regarding the Promethae, whether that be by increasing the Conclave's power or decreasing theirs. Of particular interest is Temenet-Ipu who has shown himself to be pursuing an agenda worthy of the Inquisition's attention.
While the Conclave cannot publicly sanction direct action against any sanctioned Inquisitorial agents, appropriate latitude will be given to achieve the Conclave's goals.
Regency Clean up
Issued by The Conclave Petitioned for by Interrogators Jensch and Castronova, and Acolyte Angela Marinus
For too long we have been distracted by the other calls on our attention, and the Regency rot in this sector has festered and grown too far. Infiltration has been discovered and chased out for years, only to take root and settle elsewhere in the sector. Following the decisive strike against the Regency and the decapitation of its military, now is the time to force these foul degenerates into the light and eliminate these cells now that they have no holes to crawl back to. Agents are required for a number of swift, decisive actions to eliminate Regency bases and areas of influence, to ensure that the actions taken on Butonia are utilised to their maximum effectiveness.
Pursuing Item-001 PDBX/The Star Child
Issued by The Conclave Petitioned for by Acolyte George Sandford
The entity known as Item-001 PDBX, colloquially referred to as The Star Child, continues to elude our attentions despite the sterling work of those acolytes working on this case. It is our wish that this work is not wasted and that the pursuit continues with the intention to capture and secure the target.
Captain Sandford is your contact on this matter as an experienced acolyte with expert knowledge on this topic, and should be treated as liaison on our behalf.
Pursue the Haegates
Issued by Inquisitor Zahid Petitioned for by Interrogator–Confessor Gwyn
The Haegates are a coven of ancient, pre-Regency priests of the Sleeping Darkness, dating from before the Great Crusade. Designated Objective WINTER by my Retinue, some remain inactive within warded caskets or sarcophogi; others are a present and significant active threat within the sector. The rough whereabouts of between four and eight individuals is known to the task force. It is the stated intent of at least one of these entities to ensure the total release of the Sleeping Darkness; they can all be assumed to be working to this end.
Agents are to investigate the activities of those Haegates already abroad in the Sector. They are to report on their whereabouts, intentions and capabilities. As a secondary objective, agents are to pursue the locations and dispositions of any further, sealed sarcophagoi holding inactive Haegates. Agents are reminded that they must not disturb the wardings on any casket they locate, nor attempt to destroy it. An intelligence report on Objective WINTER to provide start points for investigation is available on request from Interrogator-Confessor Gwyn.
Stabilise Butonia
Issued by Inquisitor Valtrois Petitioned for by Interrogators Jensch and Castronova
Following a highly successful deployment to Butonia, the key Archenemy threat on the planet is neutralised. However, the planet remains a chaotic and unstable place, with remnants of multiple competing factions vying for control on the surface. With Crusade, House and rogue Titan forces on the planet, a known gate to the Impossible City, and the remnants of significant Archenemy activity, it could quickly become the nexus of a civil catastrophe feeding the Enemy’s goals without intervention.
Agents are to deploy to Butonia to stabilise the situation on the ground and return coordinated Imperial rule to this world. They should seek to minimise conditions which feed the Archenemy or Objective SCENIC - mass bloodshed, fear or violence should be avoided where possible.
Pursue That-Which-Walks-Behind
Issued by Inquisitor Corvinus and Inquisitor Valtrois
The malefic entity known as The Smiling One or That-Which-Walks-Behind continues to plague the Sector. As well as alleged links to House Globex’s treachery, it appears to have been responsible for the corruption of the Ferraen Magos Irydion-619 and the chaos recently encountered on the surface of Butonia.
Despite the risks associated with pursuing it, the Conclave cannot afford to let it go about its dark business unmolested. Agents are ordered to investigate the entity’s activities, the source of its power, its locations of interest and its plans by any means at their disposal. Great caution must be taken in pursuing this entity - agents have reported a species of malefic contagion afflicting those who come into contact with it unprepared. Exorcists and those carrying esoteric protections are particularly appropriate for this mission.
Raid House Globex
Issued by The Conclave
Inquisitorial Agents report links between House Globex and cults of the Archenemy. With suspicion previously thrown on the House after allegations of tainting the Tithe of Psykers sent from the Sector to Holy Terra, the Conclave must act. The true alignment of the House must be uncovered; the Inquisition must discover how deep the rot goes.
Agents are ordered to coordinate and launch raids against as many of the House’s holdings in the Sector as possible. These raids should be simultaneous, to prevent the House destroying or hiding evidence of their crimes. The objective is to seize all possible evidence of corruption, to be presented to the Conclave in justification for the condemnation of House Globex for Heresy. Agents should expect to encounter Malefic resistance.
