Technoarcana of the Info-Executioner

The 'rites' such as they are practiced by Info-Executioners are a myriad of half-understood Mechanicus Rites, self-developed Machine rituals and natural talent for understanding data and code in order to gain understanding of it - they are not as impressive in their immediate impact as the true Technoarcana but they suit the needs of the individual Info-Executioners approach to sifting through Imperial data. Unfortunately the 'amateur' (an unfair pejorative applied by the Machine Cult) nature of Info-Executioners (thanks to the Ordo Logi withholding its knowledge from them) makes them vulnerable to errant hostile data packets and scrapcode.

Ride the Carrier Wave

Through either natural mental talents, neuro-boosting drugs or neural implants a Data-Executioner may open their mind and 'jack in' to local communications networks using both wireless and wired connections to those networks;

• After 30s of meditation you may ask a member of the Game Team to tell you one item of information you pick up while listening in to your local area.

You may push in order to;

• Continue to extend your senses outwards and ask a member of the Game Team to tell you another single item of information you pick up while listening in. You may do this up to three times.
• Focus your attention on the piece of information you first received and see if you can pick up any transmissions relating to that information by asking a member of the Game Team - this can provide coordinates of transmissions or further detail. Once you have done this you can not extend your senses outward and must end your rite.

Read the Sensor-Sphere

Your extrasensory bionics allow you to sense the area around you, reaching out to scan the environment and detect concealed foes or locate sources of transmissions - the latter is often essential when trapped on war-worlds where locating a radio operator is what stands between victory and taking artillery fire;

• After 10s of focus you may call Scan accompanied by one of the following keywords Machine, Life or Transmission

Disregard the Safety Protocols

This is considered Heretek by the Machine Cult and you should not be caught using it - with one minute of focus on a Cogitator or another non-animated (not a NPC) machine using a mix of home-made tools, self-written programs and potentially illicitly purchased data-djinn you may push for one of the following effects;

• You may ask member of the Game Team what is on the cogitator and may be briefed on one file entirely

• You may upload hostile code into the system causing it to become corrupted and that corruption to likely spread to other systems causing a temporary shutdown of connected systems.

• Force that Machine Spirit to do one command you wish of it.

Feedback-Curse

Whenever you fail a power check select one of the following effects;

• The next time you attempt to use a rite or push you suffer the effects of Haywire and call Mass Shock instead as violent code screeches out of your vox emitters.

• The next time you attempt to use a rite or push your mind is flooded with feedback data overwhelming your senses - you may not make active use of your traits - though still benefit from passive effects such as increased willpower/endurance or effects representing armour or innate toughness that do not require you to make calls or roleplay actions to benefit from - you may still make melee attacks in self defence, but these must be uncalled. This can be cleared with the Rite of Becalming otherwise it lasts 30s.
