The Devotees of the Motive Force also known as ‘Electropriests’ those of the sects covered by the Ordo Luminen believe in the sacred nature of what they call the Motive Force believing that all life and motion owes its continued existence to that ineffable divinity - unlike other Tech-Priests this veneration is presented by the manipulation of their own bioelectric energy enhanced by bionic implants.
Martian Device - Voltagheist Animus
Fulgurite Weapons - tend to be longer, staves and batons (42” or greater) often held in both hands granting reach to strike within melee.
- They strike with Rend or Weaken in melee.
Corpuscarii Weapons are smaller (<36”), often short cudgels or rings of capacitors worn as gauntlets.
- They strike with Bolt at targets within 5 metres and if melee-safe may be used to strike with Bolt in melee. Used at range they must be reloaded (recharged) every 10 shots.
Rite Electrica Aspectu
The majority of Electropriests ritually blind themselves or wear veils to obscure their vision, instead relying on extrasensory perception of electrical currents from implants in their brain to see.;
- You may call Scan Electrical Activity or Scan Brain Activity every 10s.
Rite Vis Motiva
As the fanatics of the Machine Cult, the Electropriests augmentations mean they often keep going even after suffering horrific injuries;
- Once per combat scene when reduced to Bleeding you may expend a supply (volksgeist charge), after reacting to the final blow, keep acting as normal for 10s in order to complete one dramatic act (strike a blow, flip the power switch, hold the door, ect) before collapsing Bleeding.
You may push this rite to do the following;
- Once per combat scene when affected by the Bleeding condition you may expend a supply to, after 10s of appropriately roleplaying the electrical force flowing though your veins call I will not Die! To reset your Endurance up to half its maximum (round up). You may not use this if you have been effected by the Bolt, Boom or Sunder calls.
Rites Militaris Artes
Electropriests are primarily a cadre trained in close-ranged combat, building up charge by landing repeated blows on their foes - each time they strike a foe they charge their voltaghiest field further gaining increasing their charge and allowing them to transfer the energy for devastating effect
Each time your Martian Device hits you increase your charge level by 1 to a maximum of 5 you may push to use the ability at your current charge level at which point you reset back to 0 - your abilities are;
- Your electrified weapons cause people to jerk back in shock call Shock with a melee blow.
- You send out an arcing bolt of energy, call Bolt at a target within 5m or further if you have a Corpuscarii device.
- You may heal a limb affected by the Bolt or Rend call OR once Per Scene you regain 2 endurance.
- You charge your weapon the next 3 calls you make have a 5s delay between them and you call Haywire with them.
- You unleash your stored energies in a coruscating blast call Haywire centred on yourself (but you yourself are immune)
Feedback-Curses
- The next time you use your device or push one of your rites you suffer the effects of haywire and call mass shock centered on yourself as your voltaghiest field dissipates violently.
