Cadres of such individuals are often deployed to hunt down and eliminate those who have strayed from the light by their forge.

			The Ordo Malagra is not however, a unified force, such as the Imperial Inquisition - though a 'calling' within the Machine Cult, it has no centralised galactic leadership - though Mars may send representatives of its own Ordo Malagra to distant corners of the Galaxy to enforce its control over other Forge Worlds as the preeminent one on the Galaxy, most Ordo Malagra Priest are loyal to '''their Forges''' interpretation of Mechanicus doctrine and canon, and not to some agreed centralised set of laws. For this reason they are often viewed by the Inquisition has akin to a secret police force or mechanicus 'enforcers' rather than peers and fellow Inquisitiors - a role enjoyed by the Ordo Mechanicum of the Holy Ordos whose duties are to keep an eye on the notoriously insular Mechanicus and do not trust its own 'self policing' one bit.

What this means in practice is that a host roused to the defence of a Forge World often displays the individual obsessions and specialisms of the various Archmagi - where a labour-sector might rouse hundreds of Mechanicus Thralls rapidly cyberized and deployed as a host of warriors a Archmagi whose passions lay in the weapons of war might turn out any number of bizarre contraptions that still await the approval of the Machine Cult or even massive weapons strapped to tracked scaffolds for 'field testing' - it is a far cry from the marshalled ranks of the Imperial Guard or even the Mechanicus' own Skitarii.

			However it is not uniquely the servants that join these ranks, the Faith Militant of the Machine Cult comprises of many Orders of Tech Priest dedicated to war.
