	~~====4-445.595.M41 - Civil War on Anaximund Alpha====~~

	Still smarting from the dishonourable actions of their Masters on Henlock, the Knights of House Quereshi and House Zahak return home to Anaximund Alpha only to find that their Mechanicus masters have been busy manipulating planetary politics in their wake. For her defiance of Magos Secutor-Navpati Amytis-yazdah, the Magi of Naximus have formally stripped Laleh Quereshi of her Satrapy - and choosing Laleh’s distant cousin, Azra Quereshi-Yzhi (a Mechnicus loyalist willing to betray his family) as the new Satrap of Anaximund Alpha. Though he has those Knights loyal to Anaximund backing him, they are far outnumbered by those that choose to stand against this usurpation of the traditions of succession. But Satrap-Princeps Azra Quereshi-Yzhi is supported by more than Knights - several Legions of Skitarii as well as a single Reaver Titan of the Demi-Legio Custodii Incudatem have been deployed to the planet in support of the Naximan Coup.

	Pride, however, outweighs any fear of Naximus, as the Forge has shown its cowardly streak: the Throne-loyal faction supporting Laleh Quereshi are willing to die for their honour rather than surrender to the claim of an usurper. Fighting erupts, as the Knights of Anaximund go to war with each other in a bloody civil conflict. Between this open rebellion, and fears of retribution from the Imperium and the other Forges for its actions on Henlock, Naximus Prime seals the borders of its space, and deploys its fleet as a picket force to prevent vessels entering its space: all movement of trade is cut off and the Naximans return to their isolationist ways. Only small vessels are capable of slipping past their defences with any sort of ease. The Inquistion and Imperium are blind to what exactly is going on internally, after the first news of civil war reaches them from Anaximund.

	With its forces still on the defensive against the Sovereign Order, neither the Imperium nor the bloodied forces of the Adeptus Mechanicus of Ferraeus and Castellum are in a position to investigate further and can only hope that the Knights of Anaximund are able to expel their Naximan masters. On Polarnus, this fight is replicated: a small retainer force of Anaximundians are dedicated to protecting the core of the Space Station; as the Naximan Magi tending to the station attempt to kill the Anaximan honour guard, they find them prepared. With the blessing of the Warmaster, this retinue of Anaximund-in-Exile expels the Naximan Magi from the works of Polarnus Station, with elements of House Zahak allowing a mixture of new Enginseers to take over the duties of the exiled Magi.

	~~For the most part, the Imperium opposes Naximus’ actions, but the Warmaster cannot promise them military support, and there is an unwillingness to open a fight with the independent Forge.~~

	~~====4-535.595.M41 - Suspicious Ashen Cult Activity====~~

	Since the damaging blow delivered on an esoteric level to Objective Scenic aboard the HMVS St. Sanguinius by Ordo forces, manifestations of Ashen Cults and other associated activities of the primeval threat appears to have been on a low for the first time since their emergence. However, Ordo Hereticus forces monitoring cult activities and the active persecution of the Ashen Cults by the Red Hand Cult have begun to notice strange movements of existing cults descending into deeper parts of the worlds they are present on. The recurrent Ashen Cult activity on Butonia, for example, has gone deeper into the open-cast mines on the world - and Ashen Cult movements on Hive Worlds shows movement going into the hive substrata.

	An Ordo Hereticus and Adepta Sororitas Kill Team led a raid in the sub-levels of Duroverum - discovering in the process that an Ashen Cult sect had established an extensive excavation work in the underhive. Pict-feeds from the Sororitas reveal a considerable amount of pre-Imperial parts of the city, which has been uncovered by the Cult. Unfortunately, the firefight causes the structure of the dig to be compromised. The rough nature of the excavation, having undermined the Hive superstructure, results in several levels of the underhive collapsing atop of it, killing the entire Cult and the Kill Team along with them (may their Souls be commended to the God Emperor).

	Active Underhive patrols are implemented by Ordo Hereticus, in coordination with Arbites and Adepta Sororitas, as well as Chamber Militant forces on multiple worlds to prevent similar digs - while trying to find out exactly what the cults seem to be digging for.

	Likewise, the Ashen Cult behaviour is starting to evolve: where previously the Cults formed around the concept of the God-Emperor abandoning them, now they are beginning to grow more formalised; while they are still apocalyptic cults preaching the end of all life, formalised death worship is now becoming more common - as is the prevalence of mentions of a ‘Dead’ or ‘Whispering’ God.

	* '''Inquisitor Zahid:''' The term ‘Whispering God’ is referenced in several early Annwfyn ballads - it is never invariably referred to as something the Annwfyn ‘believed’ in; rather, it’s a deity of some hated and feared ancient enemy. They may well have been right - it took us years to find a Bard that would tell them under interrogation, and even these tales are very vague narratives.
