	The population of U/RW/7768 have developed a basic level of “civilisation” and “infrastructure”, but bereft of the Emperors Light this does not begin to approach wat if found on many of His worlds. All the habitable continents and most of the large islands are crossed by a system of main supply routes suitable for traverse by wheeled and light tracked vehicles. 			The local population is organised along feudal lines, with local “nobility” governing territories of moderate-to-large Imperial fiefdom size. Devoid of the light of the Emperor, the locals have fallen into the sin of Atheism. Their habits are broadly uncivilised and barbaric, and although they possess basic steam and combustion technology, their machines are devoid of the blessings of the Omnissiah and therefore unreliable and dangerous in the Imperiums Eyes.

			Finisterra is in many ways a permissive environment, nature has been largely pacified close to urban settlements, but in the wilds travellers must beware large and hostile fauna. Some are familiar threats to the prosperitas sector. Others, such as Drop Spiders, are native to Finisterra and found in dense, dry, low-lying woodland. Travellers must also beware of local variants of nettle and bramble, and also the papery-red Rashvine, which provokes lasting irritation of the skin.

			=== The Invasion of Finisterra - 592.M41 ===

			Following the discovery of the world by Hermione Durovera in the years prior to her ascension to Sector Governor the Imperium attempted to annex it, [[House Durovera]] forces accompanied by several regiments of Merewaldian Fusiliers attempted to take the world from the local population only to find themselves opposed by local defence forces. The planet, surprisingly free of all influences including that of the Archenemy was severely technologically outmatched even by the standards of the notoriously technophobic Merwaldians, and local military forces all-but capitulated after a series of brutal battles that saw their inferior technology overcome by the Imperial forces.

			However, because of Lady-Captain Durovera's steadfast refusal to use orbital bombardment as to avoid damaging the world, the Esa were given a fighting chance against the vastly superior invaders. With dense woodland and a mix of locally built pre-spaceflight weaponry and pre-Imperial lasweapons (las-locks) a simple invasion was dragged out into a gruelling guerilla war made only more complicated by the arrival of several elements of the [[Rising Flame]] who, under their infamous leader, Sharre Ajax, aided the resistance of the world.

			It was not known immediately what the events surrounding the retreat were - as they were classified by the Crusade and House Durovera to save face - and all forces present were warned to avoid spreading malicious rumours. Officially the retreat was blamed upon previously unforeseen navigational difficulties for Munitorum resupply ships to the Crusade forces deployed on world. Unofficially, there are rumours that the Crusade forces trespassed on a previously undiscovered Astartes recruitment world, latere discovered to be the [[Lions of Nemea]].

			Despite the humiliation of being defeated by a pre-spaceflight civilization the invasion of Finisterra was hailed as a victory by the Crusade who claimed to have dealt a death-blow to the the Rising Flame, beheading it with the capture of its most well-know figurehead, Sharre Ajax. Subsequent resurgences of the Rising Flame and Sharre Ajax's escape from the military prison on [[Polarnus Station]] have proven this to be wrong and the invasion of Finisterra is considered by some to be the greatest example of Imperial hubris demonstrated by the Crusade.

			Current events on Finisterra are unknown as no Imperial vessel has been permitted to return, upon the arrival of the [[Lions of Nemea]] in 594.M41 the Crusade quickly abandoned any plans for a return to the world under the direct suggestions of the Lions who confirmed the world fell beneath the protection of their Chapter and was to be left undisturbed.

			U/RW/7768 known to the local population as Finisterra is a temperate world in the Rimward Marches, at the Rimward border of the Prosperitas Subsector. For many years a world isolated from the wider Galaxy it is believed to have beens settled prior to the Age of Strife before it was cut off from the surrounding galaxy, as such when it was first discovered in M.41 it had no prior knowledge of the Imperium.
