Ferraeus is not the only heavily defended factory world in the Ferraeus system. Castellum, the planet where most of the equipment for the military is manufactured and repaired, is the next planet out from Ferraeus, raw materials for its factories are provided by the Imperial Navy's own mines in the asteroid belt.
The Imperial Navy have a renowned training academy on Castellum.
